transformed into a piece of ART WORK !!!
Notice the wall on the right hand side that gave the kitchen a boxed in feeling. Also note the flimsy
drop ceiling.
Many older kitchens have mold problems under the floor.
With the case of our's - we never smelled a thing.....
Could be cause for allergies and more !!!
The wall cabinets were already removed in this
picture. Although there were ample cabinets, the
space in-between was always in need of paint.
( the counter-top was always cluttered.....)
The wood grained counter top did stay in great
shape, but as with the cabinets, was totally
outdated. The sink was a typical stainless steel
double basin, chrome faucets.
Looking back on the project - things can get messy !!!
Scott took this under consideration, by having the foresight to build extra cabinets in the laundry room along with a make-shift counter !!! The kitchen was enclosed in plastic for a few weeks. ( keep in mind -
all of the walls, ceiling and flooring were stripped down
to the beams - to try and level a room built in the
1800's !!!! )
